Blackwood Crossing is a very beautiful but kind of crude game.

Still it's a 2d game, so some of the immersion firewatch offers is lost. The games animations are rather abstract, something I enjoyed. Kentucky road zero is a great game! It plays in northern America aswell (obv) and has a very mysterious atmosphere. Although the story is longer and compelling it is also very idk closed, and leaves small room for imagination. It also has some very cinematic shots of the north American wilderness, that reminded me of firewatch. Many people think it's cringe but I enjoyed it a lot. Although the vibe is different Life is strange 2 has a similar atmosphere as firewatch, although it's a very different type of game. Hm you should definitely try "what remains of Edith finch" it has a touching story and a similar animation style.
